See a doctor.
They have meds and counciling to help you get through it.

when ever I get down in the dumps I listen to comedy like Dane Cook or George Carlin.

On top of that if those don’t work I listen to Monty pythons Always look on the bright side of life.

Don’t use meds the Side effects always out weight the benefits we need to learn to deal with our emotions not suppress them only for them to re emerge.

I only agree with pills for sever mental conditions. Such as Bi polar or Schizophrenic

thumbs down me if your gay awwwww

i would go to church and pray to god

Beyond depression is the act of submission to the will of God for your healing.

Tell me some more…..

Ok. I’ll tell you what I can based on my knowledge. Idk if u have a good relationship with ur family and have many friends, but whoever you are close to, talk to them. Also, when u feel down dont be afraid to cry and let out ur feelings. Also listen to music that connects to you. Watch comedy show to try and make yourself feel happier and uplift ur spirits.

First go for a very fast paced walk for 30 mins. Pretend you’re preparing for a marathon. Bring your cell phone if you want to talk -but make sure you don’t slow your pace. Better not to do it w the cell phone.

Then do some research. Check out YouTube under “aaron russo” and watch all his videos. That will shock you into reality.

Drink and when i mean drink i mean drink heavily it always make me feel better.

You need to talk to a counselor. You may also talk with a doctor if it is bad enough, you may need medication. But before you do that, unless you are suicidal, then I would start exercising and speaking with the counselor.

You need a boyfriend.

hey i understand where u are in depression as i had it for a while but are now through it. i believe u need to hear other peoples stories to get through it and just have faith and hope in yourself and also a major part is support from other people

I had lived with my mum my whole life at the age of 2 my parents split up as my mum tried to kill herself. we moved around alot because my mum was crazy and wanted to keep us. at the age of 13 i decided i wanted to live with my dad, when i told my mum she and my stepfather held me down and sedated me when i came to i had been cut by my mothers nails all my mouth. I kept pressing on my mother to let me go and she then killed herself with a drug over dose and i found her body in the bath. me and my sister then went to live with my dad, my dads a good man but my sister had been mentally damaged by my mother and soon after left home got addicted to drugs and tried to kill herself she developed depression after her boyfriends dumped her in the midde of the prom. i have no idea where she is now. Recently my best and one of my only mates as i find it hard to relate to anyone died of cancer this year i am 15 now and have just gone through depression.

i hope u realise that maybe what caused your depression really is’nt something you should be depressed about. i hope this helps and u get through this despression soon best of luck

Talk to somebody that could and would like, and, can listen to you or talk aloneand loud.Or see a good doctor. =)

Listen up cheif…..

Get some sun. Don’t burn yourself just spend a couple of hours outside in sun. Or 10 mins in a tanning booth.

Exercise- work out for as much as you can.

Tell your bad thoughts to “shut the Phuck up”

Stay away from stimulates like drugs and boze

Talk to someone.

I would only consider pills as a last choice but do what you want they would be quicker.

I definitely agree with those who said to seek out medication and counseling. Both really help.

But to get through the day, just the current day, which sometimes can be the world’s toughest thing, here are my ideas:

Number one: get moving. Seriously, I’ve found if I move, whether doing exercise or a task or really just anything, it really helps. Just pick something, anything and do it. It doesn’t have to be productive or right. Just the action of doing something will help lighten things up.
Number two: do something nice for yourself. My favorite, unfortunately, is eating. But seriously, do something nice for yourself, just as you’d do for a friend you care about. Again, it’s the doing that helps.
Number three: hang in there. It sounds like these are tough times for you, but be sure to remember it wasn’t always this way and things can and will turn around and get better with time.
Number four: remember you are not alone. I’ve been there plenty of times and so have others. This fact doesn’t reduce your pain, but maybe it’s easier to bear when you keep at the forefront that it’s part of life for some of us and that you are and always will be a worthy, valuable person.

its rarely something you can fix yourself! i have undiagnosed depression and I hate the idea of having to go to therapy, i am going to go to the doctor but i only going to accept anti-depressants! i WILL NOT go to therapy!

If you want to try make yourself feel better, you need to get to the cause of your depression! I can sit here and list a million things but only you know what it is! Then you have to make positive steps to fix the problem that’s causing your depression or change your attitude towards your problems eg. a loss of a job can be looked at as an opportunity to find a better career path, etc. Just turn a bad situation into a good one, look at the silver lining!

Good luck!

remember u r a spirit being just having a temporary physical human experience….. fresh air and sunshine…. be thankful for everything u can think of …… and smile an intuitive smile….. cause u have guardian spirits all around u, that love u very much.

procrastination is a side effect to depression meaning depression is a self-fulfilling dynamic and unless you get yourself to a therapist, nothing much will change. Understand that depression controls your thoughts - you don’t control them which is why depression is so overwhelmingly difficult to overcome by yourself. Get guidance, get medication, get control.

OK no matter what they say 1 tiny pill can not effect how you feel. Try getting involved in a sport or maybe getting a pet! it’ll take your mind off being depressed and it might lift your spirits. Good luck :)

Usually, simple things like exercise, a good diet, and the right amount of sleep will get you through. Get out and do things, be around your friends. People normally go through times of depression that are not long lasting…just a low. I don’t think that you are ready for doctors and medication. Unless your depression continues/gets worse, I would not worry too much about it. If it does get worse, see your doctor. The danger point with depression is when you are a risk to yourself or others. There is a depression self-test at one of the links, it’s just an indicator.

Maybe go to a concouler
