So simple and so delicious!

This is so much more than cooking simple, inexpensive meals. Its about learning from older people in our families who have so much life experience, and that older people can be very active well into their 90s and beyond. Watching Clara should make us all appreciate the older people we have in our lives who teach us so much. Reading about the Great Depression is one thing. Hearing about it first hand from someone who lived it is another.

@PomBare It’s not a sauce. When you cook these, the sugar and cinnamon melt and mixes with the butter and apple from the juice and makes a saucy concoction.

Awww, I love watching Clara cook!

@intercessa Thanks for the reply, I can go ahead and make these now :)

@PomBare The sauce is what happens to the sugar and butter when they melt and get infused with the apple juice.

Clara, you are adorable. I love your shows. The apples are awesome, as are your pepper and egg sandwiches! God bless you!

Can somebody tell me what sauce is used at the end please. Did I miss something? I don’t remember the sauce mentioned as an ingredient. I definitely want to make these right now!

I just got your book; and my dd insisted we read it cover to cover. You are helping another generation through some tough economic times by sharing what you went through during the Great Depression. It could very well be that countlesss children will go to bed tonight with full bellies and be spared hunger and deprivation because of what you have shared with us all. I pray for continued good health and God’s continued blessing on your life for helping othersGod bless you Miss Clara.
