Depression is telling me to change…?

Anyone else out there not really viewing their depression as a problem to eradicate, but more like a message sent to you to decode so that you can live a more authentic life?

I feel like my depression is trying to help me. I’m not clinically depressed, but, still, I would describe it as depression. I guess I’m feeling like I’m not deciphering the message as quickly as I’d like, and thus feeling a little frustrated…depressed!

I agree, I think it’s telling me to change my life and situation to make me happier of course (or maybe it’s just telling me that it hates me, I feel that way as well!)

Burdened psychologically or mentally
“oppressed by a sense of failure”
Ones failure is anther’s success so all these feelings are relative but not real

Depression is a mixed bag. I have suffered from it for years but it depends on what you do and how you really feel on the inside. People who go through tough times, loss of loved ones, physical and mental abuse, any number of experiences, have to find ways of coping and functioning each and every day. When depression gets hold of you, you can lose perspective and fall into the “why me” attitude. If you don’t take steps to reach out and ask for help or at least admit that you are not coping, your problems will escalate and you will begin to have secondary conditions because your bodies’ defence mechanism begins to break down and you start to get physically sick

Positive results are usually anticipated when we do anything. On several occasions we feel depressed when the result is negative. To tide over this, do a lot of things for yourself and if possible for your family and the society. Many successes and some failures occur. Take it as routine. Do everything with a mind and sincerity. Don’t regret over the past deeds. This is a matter of training. Indefatigible will should be the partofour life. Success is yours. Don’t think of depression because it is a negative trait

Depression that is result of narrow awareness, too many wishes & ego,ive been through that kind of depression/ suffering because of the mind.
You have a soul, and she is waiting for you to stop thinking 1000 m. per hour. Stillness is needed.Meditate.

No because unlike you and half of the 14 year olds on here, *I* actually have depression, and it is a host of physical symptoms and things putting barriers in the way, making change impossible.
If you want to change you want to change. When you have depression you want/have to change because you are depressed and HAVE CHANGED, for the worst, and want to be back to normal. You don’t want to be ‘more than’ something. You just want to be normal again.
